B. A. R. F.

The aim of the B.A.R.F method is to create such a diet, that is the closest to their original and natural diet. This method came out of P.M.D , but breeders customised it so it could meet their dog's needs. Raw meat, bones, flesh/skin, claws, insides, and other components of animal origins (whole prey, frank prey) was enriched with fruits and vegetables. It can also be enriched with dairy products, seeds, cereal grains, and other natural additives.

Key components of B.A.R.F:
  • Meat
  • Bones
  • Insides
  • Fat
  • Fruits and vegetables

Fruits and vegetables

Fruits and vegetables aren't necessary ingredients in your dog's diet, but play a very profitable role when fulfilling nutritional demands in a diet. These components should never be the foundation of a raw diet for your dog. Fruits and vegetables provide carbohydrates, that can be used as a source of energy, and fiber can be used as support for the synthesis of vitamin K and the health of the intestines.

It is important to choose the right type of vegetables and how you prepare it. The teeth of our furry friends aren't adapted to this kind of diet, neither the structure of their jaw or their saliva's enzymes, which would normally start the digestive process in the mouth. Before serving vegetables and fruit, they have to be prepared so that the nutrients present could be taken advantage of as much as possible.  That can be accomplished by either cutting, grating, steaming, cooking, or baking our fruits and vegetables up. Fruits and vegetables shouldn't be the main portion of the diet, except for kidney diets.

Assembling the correct plan may seem complicated, but don't worry!
