My journey
It's a morning, like every other. I sit on my doorstep, drinking my morning coffee and I look towards my little pack of dogs. A surge of gratitude overwhelms me when I look at them... They are healthy, active and are happily running around in our garden. Anuška, my oldest, comes to me so she could take a break from the younger ones. She sits down, lightly breaths into my hand, and waits till I cuddle her and talk to her.

If a person decides to get a dog, they normally have a ton of questions. One of them is also about diet. The answer is frequently simple - pellets (also known as dry food). What else would I give my dog? I blindly and naively believed all of the ads and their tricks, these sellers are pros in their job of selling these unsightly little balls. I started buying some of the most expensive pellets I could find, hoping that because they are so expensive, their quality would be top-notch. If only I had known back in those days, what I know now.
Half a year passes and Anuška had a limp in her front paw. I just assumed that we had overrun on one of our longer walks and that soon she would be back to normal. Two days later, she started limping on both paws and I took her to the vet. Unfortunately, after a checkup, they diagnosed her with panosteitis. Studies and opinions on the origin of this condition vary. Some studies claim, the cause of panosteitis is a virus of bone marrow, other blame genetics. The most interesting verdict I've found is that panosteitis is caused due to dry dog food or dog pellets. I am inclined to this opinion too.
The transition to a purely natural diet took me a long time because I had no idea where to even start. Should I buy my meat from a butcher? How should I calculate the portions? What should the diet obtain, so that all the nutrients are included and nothing is missing? How should I prepare bones and vegetables? These were some of the main questions that were running through my mind. My worst decision was joining and discussing in some Facebook groups, in which every opinion was wrong. I got no amount of helpful information and just a bunch of word wars between various owners of dogs.
I had no idea which information was right and which was false. In my area, there wasn't anybody who could help me. I spent so many nights worrying about how am I going to get my dogs what they need and what will help them. Then came one of the best ideas I've ever had. I decided to study the food nutrition of dogs myself. I applied to a course that was hosted by the DNM, a Canadian university, specifically for the Raw Dog Food Nutrition Specialist. The study wasn't easy, but it blessed, me with so much information and opened the door to a new world. A world where my dogs were happy, healthy, full of energy and always looking forward to their meals, which really assured me, that what I was doing, was right.
I discussed the topic of natural, raw diets for dogs with some friends, and then their friends, and eventually I thought, why not help others who are struggling with this? I decided to share my knowledge with other people, who just like me years ago, are struggling with the right diets and nourishment for their dog.
I teach my clients how to correctly feed their dogs, I provide information about portions and everything else that relates to good food nutrition and I help them so that they can provide for their dogs a happier and healthier lifestyle
Don't hesitate to contact me. Even though I've seen plenty of it from dogs, I don't bite😊 Let's go back to the roots, to what is natural for dogs!
